Baybayin is the traditional written form of many of the Pilipino languages.  Originally, Pilipino language was written in Baybayin, a derivative of Sanskrit due to cultural exchange with India, during the pre-colonial era.
"Pagmamahal" is the Tagalog word for "love".
These characters in Baybayin represent "CSF", which are my initials.
With this collection of works, I seek to explore my traditional roots as, due to Spanish and Anglophile colonial systems of oppression, many traditions, indigenous to the Tagalogs, and other indigenous Pilipino groups, have been suppressed until the proliferation of movements to restore these indigenous practices.
